On the 15th and 16th of May the first round of the BRCA Touring Car Nationals was held at Mendip in Weston-Super-Mare. The majority of the XRAY UK team drivers attended and hoped to start their season off well.
In the pro-stock class Andy Murray qualified 2nd in this super competitive class with nearly 100 drivers.
In the modified class Jonny Aird qualified 6th in the modified A final with his T3 and Phil Chambers just missed out on an A final place by qualifying in the unlucky BQ spot. Phil was joined in the B final by teammates Glenn Westwood, Stefan Chodzynski and Jonny Robinson.
Andy suffered bad luck and some rough racing in the pro-stock A final, but despite this he still finished in 5th place. Jonny managed to move on to the podium with a 3rd place in the modified A final, finishing just behind Chris Grainger and Elliott Harper.
